ASVAB stands for Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery. It is used as both an entrance exam and a placement test for people trying to enlist in the U.S. military. Military recruiters use it to determine whether candidates are fit for the armed services, and if so, what their ideal placement among the branches and ranks of the military would be.
